Itinerary
As conducted from Cape Town. Self drive guests to check in at 14h00 and check out 10h00. Guests that have booked the package including the transfer will be collected at 06h30 from their Hotel in Cape Town.

Aquila Private Game Reserve and luxury safari lodge, under a two hour scenic drive via the N1 from Cape Town, is named after the rare and endangered Black Eagle that thrives in the area.

Proclaimed a Private Nature Reserve in  1985 , this 4 star, malaria free, 4, 500 hectare reserve is steeped in Khoi San and Boer War history and boasts 3 pristine biomes of vegetation set in the most magnificent Karoo mountains, valleys, rivers and kloofs.
 

Day 1: Travel via the scenic Du Toitskloof Pass and endless winelands to Aquila Private Game Reserve. A welcome cocktail will await your arrival whilst you relax by the rock swimming pool in summer, or enjoying a roaring log fire in our cigar bar or lounge in winter. Have a buffet lunch in the restaurant before departing for a two to three-hour game drive with a experienced ranger, also visiting the world-renowned Khoi San Bushman rock art sites. Snacks and champagne will be served at the foot of a once inhabited Khoi San Bushman cave.(Drinks & snacks are served at various look out points along the route, not at the cave). Return to the lodge and restaurant for an authentic African dinner or traditional South African braai (barbecue) in the lapa (weather permitting), overnight in one of the Luxury or Premier Luxury Cottages. Day 2: Embark on an early morning game drive with coffee and rusks served en route. Return for breakfast at the lodge. Check out is at 10h00. For guests using the Aquila transport you will depart Aquila at 15h00. [B]
