Getting to Arathusa Safari Lodge

BY ROAD

Distances

Johannesburg to Arathusa Safari Lodge – approximately 550 kms (approximately 7 hours by road)
Nelspruit to Arathusa Safari Lodge – 170 KM ( approximately 2 hours by road)
Hoedspruit to Arathusa Safari Lodge – 80 KM ( approximately 1 hour by road)
Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport to Arathusa Safari Lodge – 165 KM (approximately 2 hours by road)
From Johannesburg, take the N12 to Witbank. At Witbank, take the N4 to Nelspruit.
Take the R40 from Nelspruit to White River and proceed to Hazyview.
Remain on the R40 towards Bushbuckridge.
From Hazyview it is 62 km until you turn right towards Acornhoek (Manyeleti / hulamahashe turn off).
Follow the tar road for 33km until you find Hluvukane Petrol Station on your right hand side.
The tar road ends here & becomes gravel.
After the petrol station, continue for 2km till the road splits – turn right (you will see a brown Sabi Sand sign.
Take the first turn to your left (appr. 300m).
After +/- 5 km turn right (follow all Sabi Sand signs).
Continue through a few small towns until you find a T junction after another 6,5 km – turn left.
You will reach the “Gowrie Gate” after 7 km. From the gate follow the Arathusa Safari Lodge signs to the lodge.

BY SCHEDULED FLIGHT

South African Express Airways operate a number of flights from Oliver Tambo International Airport (previously Johannesburg International Airport) into Kruger Mpumalanga international Airport and to Eastgate Airport in Hoedspruit.
We are able to arrange road transfers between the airports and Arathusa.

An excellent alternative to consider is a panoramic transfer from Kruger Mpumalanga international Airport to the camp.
This transfer takes in some of Mpumalanga’s most breath-taking scenery and gives a good overview of this rich. unique and diverse province of South Africa.
