Ranger Mike Watridge:
Mike has 14 years of experience as a professional guide. He has worked all over Southern Africa and has entertained guests on safari within the Waterberg, Zululand and the Kruger National Park (but to mention a few).
Through his skill and aptitude, Mike is able to safely take guests to within metres of the Big Five on foot during guided walks. The safari experience gets no more authentic than this!
Ranger Andre de Kock:
Andre has a diploma in Wildlife Conservation from the Cape Technicon and is a very keen photographer. Guests are guaranteed an excellent opportunity to capture superb images under his expert guidance in the bush. He has lived in and around the Kruger National Park his whole life and has encyclopaedic knowledge of bush flora and fauna - large and small.
Tracker Rufus Mnisi:
Born at MalaMala Game Reserve (also located within the Sabi Sand Reserve) where his father was a chef, Rufus is a true local to the region. He learned all about animal tracks and sounds as a boy from the elders in his tribe, and has had a lifetime of experience in the bush.
All of the movements and habits of the territorial animals are known to him. His experience and ability as a tracker makes the sometimes-difficult task of finding the animals look easy. Rufus' expertise has already saved his life - when he was charged by the two lions of the Robson's Pride, they backed off after he stood his ground!
