What method of transportation is recommended to reach Grumeti River Camp? |

Grumeti River Camp is easily accessible by daily scheduled flights or private charter, followed by a short game-drive to camp. We can pre-book and package all of your regional/internal flights and transfers, and provide a meet and greet service at all airports.
- There are daily international flights from Europe and South Africa to Nairobi, Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro International Airports
- Daily scheduled flights from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport via Kilimanjaro to Grumeti airstrip, followed by a short game-drive to camp
- If you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will overnight in Arusha, departing early the next morning on a scheduled flight to Grumeti airstrip
- There are daily scheduled flights from Dar es Salaam to Arusha, followed by an afternoon scheduled flight to Grumeti airstrip

When is the best time to see the Great Migration? |

The migration is a 12-month cycle and CC Africa has lodges at all major viewing points. Our consultants will advise when and where are the best times. From June to August during the dry season, the Great Migration usually crosses the Grumeti River affording excellent viewing of the enormous crocodiles in action. |

Guest safety is of paramount importance – Askaris (fully trained security staff) monitor animal activity within the camp areas, and escort guests to/from their tented suites at night. |

Emergency medical evacuation insurance is included in the rate at all CC Africa lodges. This guarantees all reasonable, practical assistance in obtaining primary or emergency medical services for an insured person who suffers illness or injury. Please note that this is evacuation insurance only and does not replace normal travel insurance. Trained first-aiders are on standby at the camp at all times, and emergency evacuation by air is available. |

Which are the best months to visit Grumeti River Camp? |

Grumeti offers excellent game viewing throughout the year. Temperatures are generally pleasant, rarely rising above 36°C/97°F or dropping below 10°C/50°F. Summers can be hot and humid and the seasons may vary from year to year.

Rainfall is seasonal with the so-called ‘short rains’ in November and December and the ‘long rains’ from March to May. The average annual rainfall is 800mm to 1000mm.
