Situated in Northern KwaZulu-Natal, Thanda Private Game Reserve has been rehabilitated to its original state – alien plants have been removed and flora indigenous to the area has been able to thrive. Animal species that roamed freely in the days gone past have been reintroduced to reestablish the natural equilibrium, offering guests the opportunity to see not only the Big Five but also other species endemic to the area.

Situated on the slope of a hill, the intimate tents have spectacular views of the Reserve and offer guests an authentic bush experience. The Camp has no electricity, and guests can choose to have their meals in the dining tent or around the boma fire. Without compromising luxury or service, the Tented Camp offers guests an opportunity to get closer to nature in style. Each of the four luxurious tents has a viewing deck and a spacious bathroom with a shower.
