Accommodation at Club Makokola

The resort has 56 rooms set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens:

1 Executive suite
9 Junior suites
5 Superior Family rooms
2 Superior Double rooms
13 Superior Twin rooms
26 Standard rooms

Standard and Superior Rooms
The 40 standard rooms offer a mixture of different styles. 28 overlook the lake and are made up by charming thatched cottages each with private facilities.

12 rooms are located in an A frame building next to the conference center. 6 of these rooms are family rooms that can sleep 2 adults and a maximum of 4 children.

Superior Rooms:
We now have 6 beautiful superior rooms, that are not suites just because they do not have their own lounge. All superior rooms are furnished in the same style as the suites and have large bathrooms with double vanity basin, bathtub and separate shower.

All superior rooms have a private veranda with views of the lake. 5 of the 6 superior rooms are family rooms, conveniently situated next to the hotel pool area and bar/restaurant.

All children rooms are completely separated and independent from the main bed rooms.

Executive suite
The executive suite can sleep 4 guests in two separate rooms, each with their own bathroom and a communal lounge. The suite has its own mini bar and facilities for tea and coffee.

The room has been furnished using all products of the Malawi craftsman, from the hand painted tiles of the bathrooms that come from Dedza, to the bed covers that are embroidered by the Makokola women's embroidery group.

Junior suites:
Each junior suite has a sleeping area and a lounge tastefully furnished in an all African style. The bathrooms are divided in three areas, one for the two vanity basins, one for the toilet and one for the shower and bath tub.

The shower has a seat so that you can sit in it! The bath tub is nice and comfortable and completely separate from the shower. Each suite has its own veranda with breath taking views over the lake.

All the suites are set in a beautiful corner of the hotel's gardens, away from all the rest! All suites have their own mini-bar with tea and coffee facilities.
