The Conference Centre is completely separate from the hotel and includes two conference rooms (one large enough to seat 110 delegates, the other seats 40 delegates), two syndicate or break away rooms and an open courtyard where tea breaks are usually taken.

Once a meeting is finished for the day, there's a selection of things to see and do. We will assist with ideas and proposals that will stimulate the participants to surpass even the most exacting expectations.

There's always sun, sand and the Lake. There's also golf, tennis, squash, boating, diving and sunset cruises.

Arrangements can be made for special events such as theme evenings - an Italian or Oriental evening, a pirate party or a beach party complete with the African rhythms of a local band. Authentic traditional dances performed by local villagers to the beat of mighty drums depict Malawian myths and legends and feature unusual costumes and masks and even dancing on stilts. Barbecue buffets under the countless stars.

Club Makokola is unquestionably the ideal year-round conference destination. Malawi's lakeside areas have a low rainfall, and a warm relaxing climate. Many options exist for pre and post-conference tours and excursions.

Courtyard: A garden setting and ideal for tea breaks. The courtyard also incorporates barbeque, bar and catering facilities.

Equipment Available: Slide projector, overhead projector, VCR and Monitor and flip chart. An elevated projection room is available.

Theme evenings: Pasta night, Malawi night (with traditional dancers), Oriental night, Shipwreck party and Barbecues. Bands for theme evenings can also be organised, with prior warning and at an additional cost.
