Thirstlands of Botswana
The greater parts of Botswana are in the Kalahari Desert region an area with very little surface water mainly due to extremely low annual rainfall - hence its nickname the “Thirstlands”. Two distinct area’s can be found in this thirstland; the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans and the Central Kalahari – both unique and very distinct as they are different from each other as night and day. This itinerary affords the guests a unique opportunity to visit both these regions in comfort, and experience the very unique wildlife and people of these thirstlands.

Contrasts of Botswana
To truly experience the beauty of Botswana and visually see the contrasts one needs to visit the three very unique and different regions. On this safari we visit the Makgadikgadi Pans, the Central Kalahari onto the southern Okavango Delta for a water and walking safari and lastly to the Northern Okavango for a predominantly land experience with day and night drives.
