The hotel’s Spa uses Fundu’s own range of beautifully blended infusions that capture the unique magic of the location. A peaceful yoga platform overlooks the ocean. The snug satellite tv room is tucked away in the heart of the hotel. There is a games balcony with both pool and darts and guests who need to stay in touch are able to use their roaming mobile phones.

Raised up on one of Fundus hillsides the pool is kissed by cooling breezes and surrounded on 3 sides by natural forest.
It is a beautiful relaxing oasis in a secluded corner of Fundu Lagoon. The pool is surrounded by wooden decking, creating the feeling of a beautiful tree house terrace. The poolside bar supplies cooling drinks and snacks and the spa is just next door. |
Restaurant
Fundu Lagoon’s restaurant offers some of the best cuisine in East Africa…
Meals are served in the main dining area, at the jetty bar, around the pool or in a traditional ‘kikapu’ picnic basket.
Beach barbeques are a regular feature and Swahili cuisine and music provide a distinctly Pemban experience on the jetty. Private beach dining can also be arranged.
Fundu’s cuisine reflects the culture of Zanzibar – a subtle fusion of Arabic, Indian, Swahili and Colonial influences overlay more familiar vegetable, fish and meat choices. A daily fisherman’s catch and unusual tropical fruits add an exotic twist to traditional international dishes. |

The Jetty Bar
One third of the way out to sea on our super long jetty, this is a favourite for the comfy lounge seating and the ocean beneath your feet.
The Pool Bar
Raised on the hillside alongside our new infinity pool, the views are spectacular. Snacks and drinks are served during pool hours.

The social hub of the hotel, this is a favourite place for pre and post dinner drinks.
