Buffalo Ridge

This lodge is set on the Tweedepoort Ridge with expansive views across the Northern plains and the Inselbergs which are situated in the west of the reserve. The main lodge is spectacularly located on two tiers of the ridge, accessed by a wooden bridge that crosses the ravine surrounded by rock figs. It has been designed to blend in with the beauty of the natural surrounds. With only 16 beds and 8 uniquely decorated suites – each with their own deck, Buffalo Ridge offers a private experience. Decorated in natural hues of colour and texture, the thatched suites have sliding doors which reveal the bush and allow the concept of complete integration with the bushveld.

Madikwe Hills Game Lodge

Madikwe Hills is ingeniously set amongst boulders and age-old Tamboti trees and offers guest the utmost in luxury and hospitality. It consists of a main lodge with 10 suites and a private camp Little Madikwe Hills with a 2 bedroomed Family Presidential Suite. The subtle ‘Afrochic’ décor intergrates the natural elements with strong colours highlighting Africa’s ambience. Each suite has been designed for complete privacy, relaxation and comfort with private swimming pools, fire places, underfloor heating, air conditioning, al fresco showers, romantic bathrooms and doors that fold back that allow one to truly feel at one with the environment. Madikwe Hills offers the ultimate in luxury and indulgence.
Motswiri Safari Lodge

Nestled under a canopy of Leadwood trees overlooking a busy private waterhole, this lodge only accommodates 10 people in 5 luxury bush villas set around a swimming pool. The exquisitely appointed main lodge offers separate lounge, dining and lounge bar facilities –each with its own roaring fireplace in winter. Dining also takes place in the outside boma on balmy summer nights. Motswiri offers the option of individual bookings or exclusive use of the whole lodge, making it ideal fore corporates, celebrations and family groups.
Thakadu River Camp

Thakadu River Camp is set within the riverine canopy on the Marico on the eastern side of Madikwe and is a community owned tented camp. The 12 tented suites accommodating 24 people each with sliding doors opening onto a private viewing deck over looking the river are decorated in an ‘Afro-Asian Safari” feel with the use of natural stone in the main lodge. There is also an 8 bed satellite camp – Little Thakadu – with its own private lounge, dining and pool area ensuring privacy and exclusivity for small groups and families. Thakadu is part of an eco-tourism partnership between the reserve, the Madikwe Collection and the Molatedi Community and has a proud and vibrant atmosphere.
The Bush House

As the name suggests, this is an old homestead in the western part of Madikwe. This charming home with lots of history and many stories to tell, accommodates 10 people in simply decorated double rooms. Health treatments, massages, pedicures and manicures are also available. Tuningi Safari Lodge

The 5 star Tuningi Safari Lodge set in a valley on the western side of the Madikwe Game Reserve. The theme of the interiors is “Colonial African Chic” and the main thatched lodge offers beautiful indoor and outdoor lounges, and elegant dining room and a magnificent rim flow pool that over looks a waterhole. This is all interlinked by a sweeping wooden deck that leads to a boma under an ancient fig tree. Perfect for dinners around a blazing log fire. Tuningi is one of the very few lodges in South Africa that welcome children and by doing so avails them to the wonders of nature, wildlife and our delicate eco-system.
