Location - The Bazaruto Lodge is situated in the largest Island of the Bazaruto Archipelago, located approximately 600 Km north of Maputo (the capital of Mozambique). The island is a beautiful and un-spoilt destination, characterized by its wild fauna, turquoise seawater and idyllic beaches and is carefully protected as a Nature Reserve Park. The Resort offers a unique combination of beauty, security and relaxation that make it the perfect spot for nature lovers as well as divers and sea sports enthusiasts, especially fishing.

Transfers Maputo/Bazaruto/Maputo - Flights from Maputo or Johannesburg to Vilanculos are available followed by a 20-minute daily shuttle transfer from Vilanculos to Bazaruto Island (last flight departing at 15h00). Transfers from the airstrip to the lodge is by Land Rover an approximate 5 minute drive and a distance of 1.5km.

Rooms - The Bazaruto Lodge has 26 “A - shaped”, thatched roofed Bungalows comprising of 12 Standard Bungalows, 2 Family Bungalows, 11 Superior Bungalows and 1 Honeymoon Bungalow set amongst lush tropical gardens, with magnificent views. All the rooms are for double or single occupancy, and are equipped with air conditioner, ceiling fan, private bathroom, and exterior shower.

Compulsory - Full board meal plan is compulsory at Pestana Bazaruto Lodge all year round.

Restaurants - The Resort has one main Restaurant, and every night dinner is announced by the sound of African drums. For lunch, have a light meal served by the pool, or maybe a picnic bag to take to the beach with you. The restaurant offers a buffet or a’ la carte with sea food being a specialty.

Bars - One indoor Cocktail Bar, and an outside Bar by the swimming pool.

Conference Room - Bazaruto Lodge has now a new conference room with a capacity between 20 & 30 persons. Items such as overhead projector, flip chart and screen, can also be provided. Packages include notepads, pens and mints/sweets.
