Game Drives
Morning and afternoon game drives with knowledgeable rangers in open vehicles. You will be served tea, coffee and biscuits on your morning game drive and drinks and canapés on your afternoon game drive. Your afternoon game drive gets back after dark, which gives you the opportunity to spot our nocturnal animals with a spotlight.
Walking Safaris
Walks through the bush take place just after breakfast, on request, and is the best way of experiencing the “finer” aspects of the bushveld. Your knowledgeable ranger will guide you through the fauna and flora of the Timbavati Nature Reserve, pointing out insects, grasses, trees and the smaller species that are all an integral part of the Timbavati Nature Reserve.
Bush Dinners
On warm evenings, guests may be treated to a three course meal in the heart of the bushveld. As guests complete their evening game drive, they will be enticed by the essence of a burning fire, to arrive to a hurricane lit “dining room” in the bush.
With the finest in cuisine and service excellence, guests will enjoy an unforgettable feast under African starlit skies.

The resident sewing courses held at the Thusanang Centre, start with a basic six-week garment making course. As well as learning the various sewing processes, the students learn basic maintenance of their machines, health & safety in the workplace, record keeping and invoicing. The course is followed-up with workshops and a training visit to the students' home or place where she is running her business. Thusanang gives the students a good start to setting up their businesses by subsidizing the purchases of a sewing machine by 50% when funding allows. Two week, more advanced, courses are held for students who have completed the basic course and want to learn to make specific items that they feel there is a good market for in their area.
Ex-students are invited to help Thusanang execute orders. This can either be done at the Thusanang Centre or they may work on the order at their homes. Where necessary, a workshop is held prior to the order being processed.
