A visit to the Sharks Board in Umhlanga is a must. Situated in Umhlanga Rocks off the North coast is a family favorite where you can observe multimedia shows on the day to day work done by the Sharks Board in addition to the integral function sharks and other fish play in the marine ecology. This is followed by a 20 minute shark dissection.
Botanical Gardens
Take pleasure in an Afternoon tea in the Botanical Gardens. On the eastern slopes of the Berea edge lies the Durban's Botanical grounds. It originally began as a location for growing untried tropical crops, today however it offers a herbarium, a Cycad compilation, an orchid house, a garden for the blind and a charity tea garden.
