GABON FOREST ADVENTURE-KONGOU FALLS & LANGOUE BAI - 10 Day
|
Gabon offers a fantastic range of rare plants and an amazingly large number of orchids. Some places as Monts de Cristal or Monts Doudou have been the refuges of plants during the ice age and searchers are still discovering unknown species nowadays.
The recent discovery of a new Bai (a clearing in the forest where animals come out to drink and make use of the mineral salts) at Langoue allows us the chance to view game from raised platforms ('miradors') above the forest, and to liase with the researchers, a lot like to two well know areas in Congo, Odzala and Ndoki. |
|
The below trip is an adventure, by boat, on foot and by 4x4. Guests have to be able to walk in hot and humid conditions, and "rough it ". It does however get deep into the heart of the forest, and offers a unique area.
This trip can be run any time of the year, except Mid August - end October. Private dates on request . This trip can be run for a maximum of 6 guests due to the limited accommodation at Langoue
Includes: Transport, all meals on safari, services of local guides and John Addison or similar, all park fees, flight Libreville - Makoukou .
Excludes: Flights to / from LBV, visas, tips, items not specified, insurance etc.
