Africa is an exciting continent, offering the traveler a huge variety of destinations and styles of travel. We pride ourselves in our ability to make things happen in this amazing continent, our home for over seven generations.
The difference between us and the many operators out there boils down to experience, commitment and ability - the directors have been guiding all over Africa for over 24 years and we now own and operate our own companies in Uganda and Tanzania, as well as vehicles, guides, boats etc.
We have a range of our own lodges and tented camps, all operated by our local staff. This investment over the years shows our commitment to our home and we now employ close to 100 staff. We operate safaris, so know what can and cannot be done - we'll not sell you a trip that we know will never work !! Let us take your dreams and turn them into reality - your memories will last a lifetime.
We have put together a large range of options which take in some of the best experiences Africa can offer. A few of our favourites are flagged under special offers - but there are hundreds more safaris to choose from! If you cannot find what you are looking for, tell us and we'll design a private journey just for you.
Some of our personal favourites in East Africa are Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya climbs, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara safaris, Masai Mara and the Great Rift Valley of Kenya, Zanzibar, Tanzania's southern parks of Ruaha, Katavi, Selous, Mikumi and Ruaha. Plus of course Uganda which offers gorilla and chimpanzee tracking, fishing, birdwatching and excellent game viewing in the Queen Elizabeth National Park and Murchison Falls areas.
In Southern Africa we recommend visiting the Okavango Delta, Moremi and Chobe region of Botswana and neighbouring Zimbabwe with Victoria Falls (and its annual marathon) Kariba and Hwange, as well as the Zambezi river offering fantastic safari options for adventurers and Zambia's parks of South & North Luangwa, Kafue and Lower Zambezi.
Further afield we travel to Mali, Ethiopia, Libya, Egypt, Gabon and Congo, plenty of options, with something to suit everyone!
Wild Frontiers was established in 1991, with the head office in Johannesburg and operations in Tanzania and Uganda.
