Arusha Hotel, Tanzania
First built in 1927 by Kenyon Painter, an American coffee farmer, The Arusha hotel has been home to many travellers on their journey from Cape to Cairo. Having recently undergone an extensive renovation and refurbishment program it is now considered to be the only 5 star hotel in town. Set in landscaped gardens in the central shopping and business area of Arusha town, it is just 45 minutes from Kilimanjaro International. The Arusha has 65 rooms, all with 24-hour room service, including 2 suites, 6 deluxe rooms, 34 executive rooms and 23 twins. The elegantly furnished, en-suite bathrooms are equipped with bathroom amenities and tea and coffee making facilities for the early risers. Each room is fitted with satellite television, hair dryer and an electronic safe large enough to fit the average size laptop. For the business traveller, all rooms have direct dial phones and Internet access. Guests can enjoy the attentive service by the pool the only heated pool in town. Gombe Stream Luxury Tented Camp, Tanzania
Gombe Stream Luxury Tented Camp is situated at Mitumba at the northern end of the park. The location is the best in the area on the lakeshore with a spacious beach and all the tents are under big shady trees.The camp is a combination of luxury and conservation. Due to the small size of the park a lot of attention was paid in the building of the camp so as not to disturb the environment. The tents are raised on wooden platforms and contain wooden beds with firm mattresses, en suite hot water shower and a flush toilet. A generator, located in a position so as not to spoil the ambience, supplies power. The camp also has a library, information centre, curio shop, bar and lounge. Breakfasts and lunches are served in a small raised mess tent in the centre of the camp, dinners (the speciality being fish caught fresh in the lake by the local fishermen) are usually served on the beach under the night sky. All meals and park fees included.

Grumeti River Camp, Tanzania
Grumeti River Camp lies in quiet seclusion in a valley in the western corridor of the Serengeti, overlooking a tributary of the Grumeti River. Lined with tall riverine trees, home to countless birds and troops of colobus monkeys, wildebeest plunge through these waters on their annual migration. Ten luxury cream canvas tents under thatch, each with en suite facilities, overlook permanent hippo pools. Activities include game viewing drives with experienced guides, sundowner cocktails with views over the Serengeti Plains and Lake Victoria and excursions to Lake Victoria.

Holiday Inn Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania

The Hotel is only 14 kms from Dar es Salaam International Airport and is situated next to the Botanical Gardens. Every day, the hotel serves breakfast in our Kivulini room overlooking the hotels outdoor pool and the extensive botanical Gardens. Keys Hotel, Tanzania
Keys is a small hotel (one of the best hotels in Moshi) with a swimming pool, indoor bar, M-Net television coverage and restaurant which serves excellent food. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Showers are en-suite with hot/cold water The staff are friendly, and will store excess baggage, passports, air tickets, etc. and 'nothing is too much trouble'.

Klein's Camp, Tanzania

Klein's Camp is situated on 10 000 hectares of private land bordering north-eastern Serengeti. With sweeping views of the Grumeti River Valley, the camp comprises 8 twin-bedded cottages of local rock and thatch with en-suite bathroom and private terraces. Day and night excursions, in open landrovers, into the infinite Serengeti are led by expert guides as are the interpretive bush walks where close contact is frequent with elephants. Other characteristic species of the area include Grant's gazelle, lion, leopard, wildebeest, eland, Thomson's gazelle, giraffe, cheetah and abundant birdlife.

Kia Lodge, Tanzania
The Lodge is a few minutes drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport. The Lodge is situated in the heart of a beautiful savannah scenery that is so typical of East Africa. Lake Manyara Hotel, Tanzania
Built 1 400 m above sea level on the western escarpment of the huge Rift Valley the hotel overlooks the glassy lake of the Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge, Tanzania

Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, Tanzania

Lake Manyara Tree Lodge opened for guests on 16 December 2002 Conservation Corporations newest lodge. Set in the heart of a forest Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is located in the remote south-western region of the park. The 10 treehouses, built of timber and makuti (palm fronds), are nestled in the boughs of mahogany trees. Rooms are spacious with comfortable lounging areas on the decks, each with an outdoor shower, bath and double basins. The lodge has a crafts shop featuring community craftwork, a pool and a lakeshore sala for dinners, picnic lunches and sundowners.Activities include game viewing drives with expert guides and nature and birding walks in the forest along a perennial river down to the lakeshore. Characteristic wildlife species of the area include tree-climbing lion, elephant, buffalo, flamingo, wildebeest, hippo and Coke's hartebeest.

Lazy Lagoon Island, Tanzania

Lazy Lagoon Island lies in the Zanzibar Channel 2 kms offshore from mainland Bagamoyo,and is reached by road and boat from Dar es Salaam in just under an hour. The island is protected from the sea by a coral reef. Not only can it boast 9 kms of deserted beach, but it is also a natural reserve home to many small mammals. Wash off the dust from your safari in the Indian Ocean and relax on this private island with deserted beaches. All meals included. Activities includekayaking, windsurfing, sailing and snorkelling. Dhow trips, historical excursions around Bagamoyo, scuba diving and deep sea fishing. On Lazy Lagoon the buildings have been constructed in the local style with thatching, coral and hardwood timber. The dining room and bar are in a superb position on the tip of the island - the best place to watch the classic flotilla of fishermen heading out to the fishing grounds morning and evening. Makao Farm, Tanzania
On the south-western slopes of Kilimanjaro lies Makoa Farm, an old coffee farm that has been lovingly resurrected over the past 4 years after it was nationalized in the 1960s and then abandoned. The owners are as passionate about wildlife and the wilderness as they are about running a successful coffee farm. Therefore much of the farmland is devoted to conservation. Though you wont find big game here, the birdlife is phenomenal, monkeys abound, and there is no shortage of bush pig and small antelope. In addition to horses they raise cattle and pigs. Their produce comes from their own garden. The farm is near Kilimanjaros Machame Gate with access to the spectacular rainforest on the mountains lower slopes. The house and 4 guest rooms/cottages are situated to take in spectacular views of this impressive mountain, Africas highest peak.

Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, Tanzania
Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is perched on the edge of the ancient crater rim and is a return to the noble elegance of the travelling colonials. Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge, Tanzania

Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge, Tanzania
Listed by UNESCO as a world heritage site, the incomparable Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest caldera. Dominated by cliffs standing some 600 metres high and presenting a sheer drop down to a wide open space of some 264 sq km, the crater is one of the most amazing sights of wildlife to be seen anywhere. The same fabulous view awaits visitors from the lodge's scenic terrace and 75 rooms. At 2 286 m above sea level, the lodge offers a restaurant, bar and guestrooms fitted with bathroom and central heating. Electricity is supplied by generator which is switched off from midday to 17h00.

Novotel Mount Meru Hotel, Tanzania

Protea Hotel Amani Beach, Tanzania
The Protea Hotel Amani Beach provides a charm and character typical to the garden palaces of the past Sultans of the East African coast. Situated a 90 minute drive from Dar es Salaam airport (7 minutes by air), this Afro-Arabian styled hotel comprises just 10 deluxe sea facing suites. The cottage-styled rooms are surrounded by gardens and indigenous forest park occupying 80 acres. Each has air-conditioning, its own verandah, a huge bedroom with large Zanzibari beds and a large en suite bathroom with wall to wall cupboard, walk-in shower and bath. Rufiji River Camp, Tanzania
The camp is located high on the banks of the Rufiji River in Selous Game Reserve. 20 tents facing the sunset offer comfortable beds, walled en-suite facilities, mosquito netting and all the comfortable facilities of a lodge. Each tent has a private verandah under a makuti roof - perfect for reading, writing or just resting in the shade. A structure in the central part of the camp hosts a restaurant, a bar and a small library, all with a view of the river. All the camp structures are constantly renovated to maintain the highest level of comfort in a completely natural environment. Electricity, for example, is provided by a solar panel system, but its use has been deliberately limited to tent illumination, water pumps operation, kitchen equipment, and recharging guests' video-cameras batteries Activities: Game drives & boat/walking safaris Each evening, during cocktail hour, the next day's program is planned as per each guests preferences and "seasonal" opportunities. The choices normally include: game drives by 4WD, accompanied by highly experienced rangers very knowledgeable on the reserve its' inhabitants. Game drives could pass through 3 different environments - from the bush near the camp to the open savannah (similar to the Serengeti) to a zone dominated by Borassus palms, at the foot of the mountains. Each area has its inhabitants: prides of lion, perhaps wild dog, elephant, gazelle, antelope, gnu and hundreds of giraffe. Then there are the enormous baobabs, the different species of acacias and palms, decorating the everchanging landscape, offering shade, refuge and delight. boat safaris, with a multitude of destinations, ranging from the main course of the river to its many side canals and lakes. In each season the Rufiji River holds special surprises: in June yellow-billed storks can be found nesting on the main river, in August their chicks are learning to fish and fly on the beaches and islands. From December, as the water level rises, other canals and lakes become accessible, offering new panoramas and experiences.walking safaris, perhaps the most exciting of all safaris. Selous Game Reserve is one of the very few parks in Tanzania where you can take a safari "on foot". You can choose an established trail, or one for your special interest, but you are always accompanied by an armed ranger. A real treasure for the true explorer.

Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge, Tanzania

Serengeti Sopa Lodge, Tanzania
Looking out over the seemingly endless Serengeti plains, this hillside lodge is a tranquil oasis set in thousands of square kilometres of National Park. Each of the 100 suites has twin/queen beds, en suite bathroom and a small lounge with minibar. The restaurants offer vegetarian and African dishes as well as regular cuisine. Relax by the sparkling double-sized swimming pool or watch satellite television in the lounge. The floor to ceiling glass doors afford magnificent views.

Serengeti Wilderness Camp, Tanzania
This camp is a seasonal camp, which is relocated every three months or so, to follow the game's movement. Currently it is situated about 40 km's north of Seronera on the Tagora Plains. We endeavour to get sites that are close to the best game viewing at certain times of the year, but also preferably not in busy areas of the park - as we like to offer a true wilderness experience. Being the furthest camp to the east, we have the benefit of relative isolation, allowing us to enjoy a true wilderness experience. There are only 10 en suite tents, with two beds , solar lighting and bucket showers. A large dining tent with bar, as well as a comfortable lounge area with a small reference library, and a typical safari campfire make up the balance of the facilities. Unlike most lodges, your guide will join you for meals etc, and be available for you at all hours. The camp intends to run in as eco-friendly way as possible, with all waste etc being disposed of under Park's guidelines.The location of the camp is fixed but semi-permanent eg no permanent structures allowed, and may be moved in the future to follow the game movements. We intend to provide a friendly, intimate tented camp, with good facilities in an amazing area, with due respect for this fragile ecosystem.

Seronera Wildlife Lodge, Tanzania
The lodge is ideally located at the heart of the Serengeti plains to track the migration of wildebeest. The Seronera Wildlife Lodge takes its name from the Seronera River which surrounds the lodge in a u-shape. With year-round water, this is the most reliable part of the park to view wildlife. The lodge is built on a kopje (rock-pile) and offers 75 self-contained guestrooms. It also features a restaurant and a very pleasant bar overlooking the savannah. The lodge electricity is supplied by generator which is switched off from midday to 17h00. Hot-air balloon safaris booking office on the premises. The airstrip is 5 minutes from the lodge.
