This trip takes you to all the game areas that Tanzania is so famous for: Lake Manyara, for it's tree-climbing lions; Serengeti for it's herds of wildebeest during the migration & the crater for it's wide variety of game and birdlife.

Please note this trip is based on scheduled departures departing every sunday. Private tour prices (for travel any day of the week) are available on request.
Health requirements - Yellow Fever inoculations are necessary (this must be done no later than 10 days prior to departure). Anti-malaria tablets are also necessary. Please enquire for details of travel clinics operating in your area.
Visas - Should you be travelling on a South African passport you will need a visa for Tanzania. This takes approximately 3 working days and can be done at the Tanzania High Commission, 822 George Avenue, Arcadia, Pretoria, Tel: . We can arrange these for you or they can be done direct. You will need a valid Passport (your passport must have at least 3 blank pages), 2 passport photographs and 2 completed forms. Other nationalities please check with our office or the Tanzania High Commission. It is also possible to obtain a visa on arrival.
Travel Insurance - We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance for the duration of your holiday. Please contact us for further details.
ITINERARY:
Day 1 - Depart Johannesburg on Air Tanzania flight at 13h40 to Kilimanjaro via Dar es Salaam, arriving Kilimanjaro 20h35. You will be met on arrival and transferred to the Arusha Hotel (or similar) for overnight on a bed and breakfast basis. (Dinner own account).
Day 2 - Morning at leisure - time to look around the safari town of Arusha, change your travellers cheques etc. At 14h00 you will be collected by your driver/guide and drive to Lake Manyara, famous for its tree-climbing lions. Overnight - Manyara Serena Lodge
Day 3 - After breakfast depart on a morning tour of Lake Manyara National Park. Return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch drive to Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight. Overnight - Ngorongoro Serena / Sopa Lodge.
Day 4 - After breakfast we descend steadily down the steep 610 metre sides of the crater from our lodge on the crater rim. A morning's game viewing in the crater is almost guaranteed to turn up four of the Big Five, as well as zebra, gazelle, warthog and a rich variety of birds, all viewed against the backdrop of the thickly forested crater walls. Return to the lodge for a late lunch. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro.
Day 5 - Depart after breakfast with a picnic lunch and drive via Olduvai Gorge, viewing game en route to the Serengeti. Dinner and overnight - Serengeti Serena / Sopa Lodge.
Day 6 - In the morning a game drive followed by lunch. In the afternoon another game drive. Dinner and overnight at your Serengeti lodge. Even if your trip does not coincide with the migration period, you will still observe a veritable feast of fascinating wildlife in this central Serengeti zone.
Day 7 - Breakfast at leisure and proceed to Seronera airstrip for your flight to Arusha. Arrive Arusha and transfer to your hotel. Lunch and dinner in Arusha for own account. Overnight at the Arusha Hotel (or similar) on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 8 - Early morning transfer to Kilimanjaro airport for your return flight on Air Tanzania departing at 08h00 via Dar es Salaam. Arrival time in Johannesburg is at 13h00.
