This eight day/seven night package utilises the scheduled services of Air Tanzania to Kilimanjaro. From here we use a combination of light aircraft and road transfers to transport you to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Any number of variations on this package may be designed for you using any two of Conservation Corporation's four safari camps.
Includes: Airfare Johannesburg-Kilimanjaro-Johannesburg on Air Tanzania, all road transfers and domestic flights, accommodation and meals as stated, game drives and sightseeing as specified, all drinks (excluding cellar wines, champagne & cognac) included at Klein's Camp and Ngorongoro Crater Lodge.
Excludes: Tanzania visa, travel insurance, health requirements (yellow fever, malaria), park entrance / concession fees (currently USD 210 per person), gratuities, all items of a personal nature and any service not specified. |

Health requirements - Yellow Fever inoculations are necessary (this must be done no later than 10 days prior to departure). Anti-malaria tablets are also necessary. Please enquire for details of travel clinics operating in your area.
Visas - Should you be travelling on a South African passport you will need a visa for Tanzania. This takes approximately 3 working days and can be done at the Tanzania High Commission in Pretoria. We can make the necessary arrangements on your behalf, alternatively they can be contacted on telephone: or at 822 George Avenue, Arcadia, Pretoria. You will need a valid passport (your passport must have at least 3 blank pages), 1 passport photograph and 1 completed form. Other nationalities - please check with our office or the Tanzania High Commission. It is also possible to obtain a visa on arrival.

ITINERARY:
Day 1 - (Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday/Saturday) Depart Johannesburg International Airport on Air Tanzania flight at 14h45 to Dar es Salaam, arriving at 19h25. Immediate onward connection to Kilimanjaro, departing Dar es Salaam 20h00, arriving Kilimanjaro at 20h55. On arrival you will be met by our local representative and transferred to Arusha. Overnight at the Arusha Hotel, or similar, on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2-4 - Our representative will meet you at reception after breakfast, and transfer you to Arusha airport, where you will board a light aircraft to Klein's Camp via Lake Manyara. Spend 3 nights at Klein's Camp including all meals and activities.
Day 5-6 - Depart Klein's Camp after breakfast by air to Lake Manyara via Seronera. Continue by road to Ngorongoro Crater Lodge (approx. 2 hours drive). Spend 2 nights at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge including all meals and activities. Activities include game viewing drives into the crater and Ngorongoro Conservation Area, excursions to Olduvai Gorge and Empakai Crater, bush breakfasts, bush lunches and sundowner cocktails in the crater. Characteristic species to be sighted include elephant, black rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo and hippo.
Day 7 - After lunch you will be transferred by road to Lake Manyara airstrip. Return to Arusha by light aircraft (25 minute flight). Transfer to the Arusha Hotel, or similar, for overnight on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 8 - This morning you will be met and transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport. Depart Kilimanjaro at 09h00 arriving in Dar es Salaam at 09h55. Immediate onward connecting flight departing Dar es Salaam at 11h00 arriving in Johannesburg at 13h40.
