Please ensure everything is packed in a small soft overnight bag for ease of packing on the boat where space is limited. Excess baggage can be left on the mainland at your hotel or our offices by prior arrangement.
Prices for the overnight and forest walk experience are based on staying on the island for the overnight experience, and include all meals, teas and coffee, transport to/from Entebbe Pier by boat, entrance fee to Ngamba island (this is toward the chimp sanctuary costs shown separately below), use of local canoe and all of the island facilities. Drinks are NOT included, and the forest walk which is optional is detailed separately.
Please Note: The optional guided forest walk with chimpanzees offers guaranteed close up experience on Ngamba Island. Please note that this is an experience that has special medical and other requirements, and MUST be pre-booked.
If the scheduled departure times do not suit you, please enquire as we may be able to accommodate you with other guests at a different time. So please ask.
Important:
For those persons booking the Forest walk with chimps only : You will also be required to email directly to the Project Director of CSWCT in Uganda projectdirector@ngambaisland.org, once your booking has been accepted. CSWCT insist on liaising directly with all guests wanting to do the forest walk to avoid disappointment.
Persons traveling to Ngamba for only the day trip, or overnight without the forest walk, it is not necessary to contact CSWCT or have any of the required health requirements.

ITINERARY:
Day 1 - Entebbe - Lake Victoria Hotel. Ngamba Chimpanzee sanctuary, half day tour by boat. Bed & Breakfast.
Day 2 - Drive (4-5 hours) to Lake Mburo National Park where you will overnight in a tented camp on a full board basis. Options of game drives, bush walks and lake excursions in the afternoon.
Day 3 - Approximately a 7 hour drive to Rwanda - Ruhengeri. Overnight at a lodge on a full board basis.
Day 4 - Gorilla trekking with pre-purchased permits. Overnight at lodge in Rwanda on a full board basis.
Day 5 - Option for second gorilla trekking. Overnight as above.
Day 6 - Approximately 6 hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where you will overnight at a lodge on a full board basis.
Day 7 - Today you will have a third opportunity to trek gorillas in the forest. Overnight at a lodge or hotel in the Kabale region on a full board basis.
Day 8 - Return to Entebbe. It is a full day drive or just under 2 hours if you fly out on a charter flight. (Additional cost). Option to add on an overnight at Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, or hotel in Entebbe/Kampala also at an additional cost.
