ZAMBIA WALKING SAFARIS IN THE LUANGWA VALLEY - 5 Day

In eastern Zambia lies a National Park that is home to a magnificent variety of wild animals and brilliant birdlife. It is the Luangwa Valley, esteemed amongst those who know as one of the continent's last great wildlife havens.
Here there are no hordes of tourists - instead a handful of small and intimate safari camps that offer exciting game viewing by open 4 wheel drive vehicles during the day, and at night with spotlights. Additionally, and perhaps most thrilling, is the opportunity to walk in this park, always with a highly skilled naturalist and armed scout.

The 'Bushcamp Experience' is a 3 or 4 night (or longer!) walking safari between bushcamps. Enjoy the freedom of walking between remote camps in the heart of the Luangwa Valley. All camps are ideal for small groups seeking a heightened personalised wilderness experience, fantastic hospitality and greater opportunities to explore this magnificent wildlife sanctuary on foot.

ITINERARY:
Day 1-2 -
Friday - Departures. Depart Johannesburg on South African Airways to Lusaka. Onward connection with Airwaves Airlink to Mfuwe. On arrival at Mfuwe you will be met and transferred to Chamilandu bushcamp. Spend 2 nights at Chamilandu exploring the area on foot during daylight and including some limited night drives.
Day 3 - Sunday - After an early breakfast walk to Chendeni, a +- 10 km walk. Overnight here exploring the area along the river and lagoon by foot.
Day 4 - Monday - After an early breakfast, walk to Bilimungwe, approximately a 7km walk. Arrive in time for a full brunch. After a lazy afternoon, set off for a walk until sunset and then after sundowners enjoy a night drive back to camp.
Day 5 - Tuesday - Transfer from Bilimungwe back to Mfuwe Airport for your Airwaves Airlink flight to Lusaka. Connect onto South African Airways to Johannesburg.

ZAMBIA KAFUE NATIONAL PARK - 5 Day

Enjoy a safari to one of Africa's largest game parks, Kafue National Park - 22 400 square kilometres of breathtaking wilderness and the greatest species diversity of all the national parks in Zambia. It hosts 158 species of mammals including 4 of the Big 5, 481 species of birds and 58 species of fish. This makes it a perfect destination for nature lovers, bird watchers and anglers alike.

ITINERARY:
Day 1-4 - (Daily departures) Morning departure on South African Airways from Johannesburg to Lusaka. On arrival you will be met by a representative from Hippo Lodge. Hippo is a 4 hour drive from Lusaka or an hour and a half flight by light aircraft. Package prices are based on the road transfer option. Spend 4 nights at Hippo Lodge including all meals and 2 activities per day.
Day 5 - This morning it's time to return to Lusaka by road for your afternoon flight on South African Airways to Johannesburg.

This package combines a stay in Livingstone (Victoria Falls) with game viewing in Zambia's prime wilderness area, the South Luangwa National Park.

Day 1-3 - (Departures most days of the week, subject to seasonality). Fly South African Airways from Johannesburg to Victoria Falls. On arrival you will be met and transferred across the Zimbabwe/Zambia border to your selected lodge. Accommodation for 3 nights.
Day 4-6 - This morning you will be transferred to Livingstone Airport for your flight to Mfuwe, via Lusaka, on Airwaves Airlink. On arrival at Mfuwe airport, South Luangwa, you will be met and transferred to your selected lodge. Accommodation for 3 nights including all meals and two game viewing activities per day.
Day 7 - After breakfast transfer from camp to Mfuwe airport for your flight to Lusaka on Airways Airlink. Onward connection on South African Airways from Lusaka to Johannesburg.
